Janina Kanonas Fenton
Registered Psychotherapist

I am a registered psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario. In 2011, I completed a Masters of Arts in Counselling and have since been working in the field at the university level, non-for-profit and private practice settings. My experience includes coming alongside people who are struggling with anxiety, life transitions, relationship challenges, stress, self-esteem, eating disorders, grief and loss, and childhood trauma. I have a particular passion for working with adolescents and women, and joining with them to overcome the issues they bring to therapy.

I have been described as a warm, compassionate and welcoming person by those who know me. I enjoy being with people, hearing their stories and coming alongside them as they seek greater healing and wholeness for their lives and relationships.

I am also fluent in French and Spanish and I am available for counselling in these languages.

How Much Will A Therapy Session Cost?

  • Counselling and Psychotherapy fees vary depending on the specific service you require. Generally the cost for the 50 minute session will be between $110 to $140. The fee for the one hour session also includes the additional time spent in related research, record-keeping and consultation.

  • Fees are payable by cash or cheque, and at times email money transfer can be accepted too.

  • Please contact our office for more information.

Will My Insurance Cover Session Fees?

  • The answer is probably YES because all of Janina's work is supervised by Dr. Andrew Shaul, who is a registered clinical psychologist. Janina is also a registered psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario. Please check with your insurance provider directly prior to our first session to determine your coverage eligibility for services provided by a registered psychologist and/or registered psychotherapist.
